Their hard work has contributed to The Detroit Partnership's prominence and success on campus. Although our alumni are now scattered across the country working in many different fields, their passion for and commitment to the City of Detroit remain forever. My Best Detroit Project Memory... "Making dozens and dozens and dozens of sandwiches for DP day," Michael Smith "Without a doubt, packing and rushing around the day before DP Day and the day of DP day!  And driving to Detroit early on DP Day and seeing the fleet of yellow school buses head towards Ann Arbor to pick up all of those volunteers!" Lauren Konchel "Food & Clothing Drive 2005, bringing in  West Outer Drive United Methodist Church  to help organize this event really made it more of a community event.  I felt like it became an event, like DP Day, where the two communities worked together for a common cause." Jes Hill "My favorite memory would be starting the tutoring program at West Outer Drive United Methodist Church and getting a chance to make an awesome friend who now coordinates the program." Cassidy Boulan "My first one-time program.  We painted the Sunday School room of WODUMC.  We didn't get it done the first day, so Miriam (another DP alum), myself, and a friend of mine went down to finish it the next day.  Ironically, because we stayed an extra day, we got to see the kids who would be using the room, and how much they loved it.  I was hooked.  I'm still hooked." Brianne Studer "Coordinating student council at gomper's :)" Miriam Bhimani "Food and Clothing Drive 2005 at Pastor Rush's Church. It was an absolutely amazing experience." Jignesha Patel "There were so many amazing memories that first year, from the first Planning Team meeting and seeing so much energy, to the 1st DP Day when we had an actual blizzard but still managed to get hundreds of people pulled together, and the sun shone down at our celebration. The best memories are all of the amazing volunteers, and feeling all the passion that came from the dreaming and believing." Katie (Foley) Olex "Seeing the positive relationships created between the students and members at the after school programs." Kelly Courtney
