Student Group Involvement In addition to partnering with organizations in the city of Detroit, The Detroit Partnership works to facilitate educational growth on campus. We encourage other student organizations and groups on campus to participate in DP programs in Detroit in order to gain a deeper understanding and experience the charm of the city.

Advantages of participating in a DP program as a group:
  • team building and bonding
  • programs can be tailored to your needs
  • group dialogue and reflection can be easily facilitated
All student organizations and residence halls are eligible to sign up as a group with The DP. Groups can sign up for an already scheduled event by checking out our calendar of events and contacting dp.dir@umich.edu. If your organization is looking for something specific, or if none of the planned events suits your needs, members of The DP are able to work with your organization to create a service-learning program tailored for your group.

While we encourage groups to sign up together, we cannot allow an unaffiliated group of individuals to sign up together for DP Day. The Detroit Partnership strives to bring people together who might otherwise not get that opportunity, so we hope all DP members and participants will be excited to meet and work with new people and embrace the spirit of DP Day.

If you are interested in partnering with The Detroit Partnership to create a service-learning experience for a student organization, please contact dp.dir@umich.edu.
